The Ten Episcopal Churches
of Staten Island Welcome You...

...The Episcopal Churches of Staten Island are part of the Episcopal Diocese of New York, which is part of the Episcopal Church of the United States. We are a member of the world-wide Anglican Communion, and many of our members hale from Africa, the Caribbean, and other parts of the world.

We are a catholic church, embracing the traditional view of the creeds, ministry of bishops, priests, and deacons, and the sacraments. These have been the hallmarks of the Christian faith since apostolic times. We also value and incorporate the intellectual renewal and freedom which are part of our Reformation heritage. We are an ecumenical church, proclaiming no uniquely Episcopal doctrines, but teaching what most Christians have believed throughout the ages.

We base our authority on Scripture, the record of God’s covenant with us; tradition, the ways in which the Holy Spirit has guided the church; and reason, the experience of God’s revelation to us through the human mind and conscience.

Please explore this website and get to know the Episcopal Churches of Staten Island. All of our parishes would welcome your visit and our clergy and parishioners stand ready to answer any questions.
